What is Coaching

The term life-coach seems overused, and under-descriptive to me. Many people ask, “What is Coaching” – What does it even mean? I tend to refer to myself as a personal coach, rather than life-coach. I’m here to help you stop dreaming, and to begin living a real & sustainable life, that feels satisfying and fulfilling to you.

My intention is to always support you in getting more fulfillment by realizing the vision you have for your life; those goals and aspirations that often feel just a little too difficult, and sometimes simply impossible, to accomplish on your own.

My role is always to help you find alignment, and awareness of your purpose, and to encourage you to take the next action to achieve that purpose, in ways that support you, and that help you see and acknowledge where you’ve come from and the challenges you’re experiencing, and difficulties you’ve already overcome. My experience is that a life that satisfies will continue to present new challenges; how creatively we are able to meet those challenges and what we bring to that meeting is where joy can be found.

What are the benefits of having a coach

As your coach, its my job to facilitate increased awareness, while staying on track toward your chosen goals. I believe that your knowledge of yourself is your most powerful ally, and its my job to bring out that intelligence in ways that enrich your experience of life, and support you in moving forward more confidently, both during our coaching series, and in the future.

I usually work with clients in a series of 12, one hour sessions, either each week or twice each month. By the end of each session we will have compiled a list of agreed actions toward the goals, for the you to focus on between sessions. This structured process allows space to acknowledge progress, tackle difficulties and to make changes along the way while continuing the journey.
